Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram

Dr. Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram (Tamil: சீர்காழி கோ. சிவசிதம்பரம்) is a Carnatic music vocalist from Chennai.[1] He is an alumnus of the Trinity College of Music.[2] He is also a medical doctor with a post graduate degree in internal medicine.[3] Sivachidambaram is the son of Padma Shri winner Sirkazhi Govindarajan.[4] Sivachidambaram has recorded a song, Enadharumai Raanuva Veerargaal, written by A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India.[5]

Awards

Sivachidambaram has received many awards including the Kalaimamani from the Tamil Nadu government, Madras Music Academy award for Best Rendering and Tamil Isai Vendar.[2] In 2008, he received the Padma Shri award from the Government of India.[6]
